My Artistic Life

My work moves between abstraction and figuration, combining painting with experimental materials and upcycling elements. I explore perception, transformation and shifting viewpoints. Many works are open in structure—sometimes reversible or readable in multiple orientations—inviting a playful change of perspective. Found materials and historical supports become carriers of meaning. Humour, irony and a poetic clin d’œil are as important as gestural energy and colour intensity.

Sof, Sophie Voigt-Chadeyron, is a french Visual artist living and working in Germany. Her work spans painting, mixed media and object-based art.Born 1969 in Talence, France · lives and works in Krefeld, Germany.She has been an independent artist for more than 25 years and, since 2016, has directed Atelier Sof, a 400 m² studio and exhibition space in Krefeld.

1987–1989 Literature and History, Lycée Henri IV / Sorbonne University, Paris 1989–1993 Degree in Business Administration, Paris-Dauphine University.

Parallel studies in painting and drawing with Prof. R. Leprince, ESAG Penninghen, Paris; guest student at the École des Beaux-Arts, ParisSince 1996 freelance visual artist.In 2016 founded Atelier Sof, a 400 m2 studio and exhibition space in Krefeld.
